As of April 1 2026, I am no longer registered as a psychologist in British Columbia and I do not provide psychological services. I am a spiritual, personal, and executive coach. Coaching does not include psychological diagnosis, assessment, or treatment, and is not a substitute for regulated mental health care. Individuals seeking psychological services can consult the BCPA directory, as that is the professional directory for licensed psychologists. Currently, I am taking a few month hiatus as I transition into my new role as a coach and hypnotist. I will update this website once that hiatus is complete.

Coaching

Coaching is a partnership, a supportive relationship between client and coach. The coach is there to hear you, encourage you and help move you in the direction you want to be heading. The coach is your personal cheerleading squad. She’s there to say “I believe in you; I know you can do it.” There are many aspects to coaching. Your coach teaches skills such as goal setting and the value of setting timelines to achieve these goals.  She reminds you to be accountable for all your choices and actions. You can also bounce ideas off your coach; she’s there to listen and reflect those ideas with clarity and awareness.

Coaching can help reformulate strategies, ideas and beliefs about oneself. A coach guides you towards finding your own answers – she doesn’t tell you what to do. Lorraine’s approach involves not only assisting you to develop effective strategies and plans of actions, but also addresses emotions that might interfere with attaining your goals. What beliefs might stop you from realizing your dreams? What has stopped you in the past from getting what you want? What do you really want? What makes your heart sing? At some point in the work there is an “aha” moment, in which the client, while exploring possibilities, suddenly lights up as the true answer presents itself.

Key benefits to having a coach:

  • Clarify your ambitions

  • Develop the ability to tap into your strengths and resources

  • Develop new skills, including those that work with your subconscious to empower yourself

  • Become more aware of limiting beliefs and patterns and replace them with healthier ones

  • Formulate strategies

  • Get clear about what you want and then get yourself out of the way

  • Believes in you so you can believe in yourself

Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.
